• Awesome = My way of saying it's great, cool, perfect, spectacular, in one word.

• Amazing = See "awesome".
• Gorg/Gorge = Gorgeous
• Seriously = Sometimes proceeds "awesome" or "amazing". Sometimes used alone. Like, to emphasize my point. Seriously.
• Like = There are many uses for this word but I will often start a sentence with it, too. Like, to provide an example.

You know that scene in Pride & Prejudice (the one with yummy Matthew Macfadyen, not yummy Colin Firth) where Elizabeth is standing in front of a mirror and time passes by her and she’s just frozen…staring back at herself…still in the same spot? That was me this weekend (except Mr. Darcy never paid me a visit). I pretty much stared at my computer screen all weekend editing photos. Now it’s Monday and I’m still in the same spot where I started the weekend…sitting at my desk, staring at my screen… But quiet, meditative times like those are mandatory for my peace of mind and it reminds me that sometimes you have to slow down to move forward faster.

Speaking of slowing down, here are some slow, beautiful, enchanting songs I’ve been obsessed with lately:

Yodelice (Maxim Nucci) – Talk To Me
Our good friend in Nice sent me this song because he thought I would like it…and he was right! Been listening to it a lot since he recommended it. Merci, OL…we miss you! ;)

Shayna Zaid – It’s You (live) (There was no video for the album version but this live version is a great alternative. Plus, her voice sounds richer live.)

P.S. Here’s the scene I was referring to – at the 8:00 mark. Anybody else wanted to reach in and fix Keira Knightley’s bangs while watching this movie?? Other than that minor detail, this movie I just want to hug like I do the book whenever I’m done reading it. The lighting, cinematography, setting, and music…perfect compliments to two of my favorite literary characters.

    I’m ridiculously obsessed with that version of P&P. I’ve probably watched it at least 50 times. Oh and that scene where she’s standing on the edge of a cliff and they do the panoramic sweep. gorgeous!
